21 April before market open, BLK, BRCM, CAT, KO, DD, LMT, MRK and SGP released their earning report. BLK, CAT, DD and LMT released a better than analyst estimate earning but lower than last year earning. BRCM and MRK released a lower than last year earning and missed analyst estimate. KO released a lower than last year earning and meet analyst estimate. SGP release a better than estimate earning and higher than last year earning.

DJIA moved up, passed resistance at 7940 and closed at 7969.56.
NASDAQ moved up, passed resistance at 1630 and closed at 1643.85.
S&P500 moved up, held by resistance at 855 and closed at 850.08.

Earning Report
21 April after market closed, AMD, GLD, SNDK and YHOO released their earning report. AMD and SNDK released a better than analyst estimate earning but lower than last year earning. While GLD and YHOO released a better than analyst estimate earning and higher than last year earning.
22 April before market open, ATI, T, BA, FCX, MCD, MS and WFC will release their earning report. Analyst estimate their earning release is lower than last year release.

Citigroup Q1 better than estimate, oil getting higher

Global Market Citigroup Inc. posted a $5.11 billion loss, less than analysts' estimates, and cut 9,000 jobs, it sending their shares higher and sparking a rally in U.S. stocks and the dollar. Citigroup reported $16 billion of writedowns and increased loan reserves as customers fell behind on home, car and credit-card payments. Their net loss of $1.02 a share compared with an estimate of $1.66 by analyst. Citigroup climbed $1.08 to $25.11. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index rose 1.8 percent and the dollar gained against the euro. Revenue fell to $13.2 billion, compared with analyst estimate of $11.1 billion. While the writedowns stuck their trading and investment-banking division revenue climbed in both the consumer and wealth-management businesses.
